SOLA SCRIPTURA

We believe the Bible is true, timeless, and inspired of God. As a church and as ministers of the gospel, we contend for the teachings of Jesus Christ and his Word. This research paper clarifies the classic term “sola Scriptura,” which emphasizes the pre-eminence of the Bible in our lives.

We counsel together to discern and interpret the Scriptures, not leaving it to each individual nor as church leaders adding to or taking away from Scripture as we formulate doctrine and living principles. Our hope is this paper will give guidance, comfort, and confidence regarding our source and method of doctrinal discernment and application.
